🐾 BREEDING PHILOSOPHY & EXPERIENCE

How did you get started breeding, and how long have you been doing it?
We’ve been raising puppies since 2016. We started with one Golden Retriever and slowly grew from there, always staying intentional and hands-on with each litter.

How do you ensure your puppies are well-socialized before going to their new homes?
We’re a family of seven, and our children are very involved in daily puppy play and care. From the very beginning, our puppies are exposed to real-life sights, sounds, and people—which builds their confidence and helps them transition more smoothly into family life.

What steps do you take to ensure the health of your puppies (e.g., vet visits, health testing, etc.)?
All of our adults are genetically tested and OFA certified, and we do a full check-up with our veterinarian before each breeding. The puppies receive Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), are on an AKC-recommended vaccination and deworming schedule, and each one gets a well-puppy exam around 7 weeks of age. We’re very hands-on from birth to ensure every puppy gets the healthiest start possible.

🏡 FAMILY LIFE

Can you tell us a little about your family and your personal hobbies, or other areas of expertise or work?
We are a family of seven with three boys and two girls. We live on 29 acres and enjoy fishing, swimming, gardening, birding, softball, and sewing. Our small farm is also home to horses, a pony, goats, and chickens—so there’s always something going on! Firman works in construction, and I (Linda) am a full-time homemaker and manage everything puppy-related. Raising Goldens is truly a family endeavor.

🏠 HOME ENVIRONMENT & SETTING

What kind of space do your puppies grow up in, and do you have any favorite spots where you like to sit with the pups or let them play?
Our puppies are born in a clean, warm environment and begin life in a cozy whelping box with soft carpet. As they grow and open their eyes, they start exploring more space while still staying close to mom. Around 5 to 6 weeks, once they’re weaned, they move to our weaning area with their littermates. From there, they enjoy both indoor and outdoor time, depending on the weather. They love being outside in the grass on nice days and get plenty of indoor playtime when it’s cold or rainy. Their favorite? Stuffy toys!

🐶 PUPPY CARE & PERSONAL TOUCHES

How do you prepare each puppy for their new home?
We send each puppy home freshly bathed, along with a toy, a small blanket that smells like their litter, and a starter bag of food to make the transition easier. Our goal is always to send home healthy, happy puppies who are ready to thrive in their new families.

What advice do you usually give to new puppy owners?
The best first step with your new puppy is simple: lots of love. We recommend taking your puppy to your veterinarian within the first week to get established and ask any questions you might have. While there’s plenty of advice online, always lean on your vet for reliable guidance.

💬 PERSONALITY & HEART

What’s one thing you wish every family knew before bringing home a puppy?
Bringing home a puppy is a real commitment. They’re little, they’re learning, and yes—they’ll make mistakes. But the joy, laughter, and love they bring into a home is immeasurable. Goldens are full of love, and we count it a blessing to share that with others. They truly have a way of easing anxiety and brightening everyday life.

Do you have a favorite past puppy or one that especially stands out?
We’ve been blessed to work with many wonderful families over the years—thank you to all of you! A few that come to mind: Gail, who adopted Rosie at Christmas 2019; Yvonne, who took home Julio in September 2023; and Christopher, who welcomed Simba in January 2025. It’s a joy to hear how our puppies are doing and to see the love they bring into each home.
