How did you get started breeding, and how long have you been doing it?
We’ve been married for 26 years and have been raising puppies since 1999. We started with small breeds, but after beginning our family, we fell in love with the Golden Retriever’s gentle nature and made the switch.

How do you ensure your puppies are well-socialized before going to their new homes?
Our grandson loves to help our daughters play with the puppies, and they get plenty of interaction and snuggles right from the start. We also use Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) with every litter to give them a strong foundation for adaptability and resilience. 🐾👶

What steps do you take to ensure the health of your puppies (e.g., vet visits, health testing, etc.)?
We have a wonderful relationship with our vet, who inspects each puppy from nose to tail before they go to their forever home. All our adult dogs are genetically tested, and we also complete OFA certifications to promote soundness and longevity. 🧬🩺

🏡 FAMILY LIFE

Can you tell us a little about your family and your personal hobbies, or other areas of expertise or work?
We’ve been blessed with five wonderful children and one grandchild—oh what fun! When the puppies are napping, you might find us fishing in our pond, walking through the woods, or deer hunting in the fall. A bubbly creek runs through the property and is a favorite with both kids and dogs! Our alpacas and donkeys love greeting visitors, and our daughter, who loves photography, is the one behind all our puppy pictures. 📸🎣🦙

🏠 HOME ENVIRONMENT & SETTING

What kind of space do your puppies grow up in, and do you have any favorite spots where you like to sit with the pups or let them play?
Our puppies are raised in our indoor nursery and spend their days exploring the outdoors when the weather allows. As they grow, they learn to use the doggy door and get to play on both the front porch and the backyard—two of their favorite hangout spots for belly rubs, playtime, and cuddles. 🌳🐶

🐶 PUPPY CARE & PERSONAL TOUCHES

How do you prepare each puppy for their new home?
Every puppy gets a nice bath before heading home. We send them with a blanket that smells like their mom and siblings, a sample of food, AKC registration papers, health certificate, vaccination and deworming records, and microchip info. 💉📋🫧

What advice do you usually give to new puppy owners?
We recommend continuing your puppy on NuVet vitamins to support their immune system and overall health. We also encourage feeding Nutrias puppy food and registering your puppy’s microchip as soon as possible. But most of all—your puppy wants to be loved, cared for, and yes, maybe a little spoiled too! 🥰💕

What’s one thing you wish every family knew before bringing home a puppy?
Raising a puppy takes time and commitment, but the love and joy they bring is absolutely worth it. Many of our puppies have gone on to become therapy or emotional support dogs—it’s incredible to see the impact they have. 🐾🦮

Do you have a favorite past puppy or one that especially stands out?
We’ve made so many amazing friends over the years and love staying in touch with our fur families. One of our past puppies, Tucker, became a bit of a celebrity—his photo is featured on his family’s mobile grooming van, and he’s the proud mascot of their business! 🤗🚐🐕
