🐾 Breeding Philosophy & Experience

We’ve been raising Golden Retrievers for the past 10 years. Lance grew up with Goldens, and his dog Trigger was part of our new home when we got married! Within that first year, we added three more Golden Retrievers to our family—and the rest is history.

We rarely have more than one litter at a time (occasionally two!), which allows us to give each puppy the attention and care they deserve. Over the years, we’ve also added four enthusiastic children who love helping with the puppies! It’s truly a family event when we have a litter—hours of playtime, cuddles, and laughter fill our home.

All of our adult dogs are health-tested to ensure they give their puppies the best genetic start possible. We have a wonderful veterinarian we’ve worked with for many years, and they’re only a phone call away if anything unusual comes up. Every puppy is seen by the vet at seven weeks old for a full health exam and to check for any abnormalities before going to their new home.

šŸ‘Øā€šŸ‘©ā€šŸ‘§ā€šŸ‘¦ Family Life & Farm Life

We’re a family of six living on a little slice of Ohio countryside, along with our dogs, two cats, and a small herd of chickens. This is our first year homeschooling our two oldest children—and we’re all enjoying the experience!

We love camping in the summer, and our boys play both soccer and baseball. Patience enjoys gardening, DIY projects, and dreaming up new remodeling ideas for Lance’s ā€œfree timeā€ā€”our farmhouse was built in the 1800s and is always a work in progress! Lance owns a small lawn care business, and together we manage two short-term rental cabins on our property. Life is busy, but we wouldn’t trade it for anything!

šŸ” Home Environment & Setting

Our favorite time to have puppies is during the summer months, when we can spend long afternoons outside playing with them in the fresh air. Puppies are born in our heated garage, where we have a comfortable whelping box set up.

When they’re old enough to explore, we move them to our kennel—a temperature-regulated building where they can freely go indoors or outdoors as they please. Our adult dogs also have access to this space and can enjoy a full acre of fenced area to run and play.

🐶 Puppy Care & Personal Touches

Our puppies are fully weaned from their mom around seven weeks old and spend lots of time with people, which helps their transition to a new home go smoothly.

Each puppy goes home with:

  • A blanket that smells like their mom and littermates

  • A veterinary health paper and full record of shots and deworming

  • A small bag of the puppy food they’ve been eating

We always encourage families to visit their vet soon after bringing their new puppy home to start that relationship. We also remind new owners that those first few weeks can be a little wild—Golden Retriever puppies earn their nickname ā€œland sharksā€ for a reason! They do grow out of it quickly, though, and all your chewed-up treasures will soon be replaced by unconditional love.

šŸ’› Personality & Heart

There’s truly no love like that of a puppy—your heart will never be the same again. We love staying connected with the families who adopt our puppies and seeing them thrive in their new homes. Some of our favorite moments are the photo updates we receive as they grow. It’s such an honor to play a small part in completing someone’s home and family.
